Expert skin care in Wagga Wagga
Our clinic combines careful assessment, dermoscopy, skin cancer medicine, minor procedures and evidence-based treatment planning in a calm, professional environment.
Whether you need a full skin check, assessment of a spot of concern, treatment for a diagnosed skin cancer, or help with an ongoing skin condition, our team can guide you through the next steps.
Skin cancer checks
Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, and people living in regional areas often have significant sun exposure over many years.
A skin check may be helpful if you have:
a new or changing mole
a spot that bleeds, crusts, grows or does not heal
a history of skin cancer
significant sun damage
fair skin, freckles or a tendency to burn
a family history of melanoma
a high number of moles
outdoor work or recreation over many years
During a skin check, your doctor will examine your skin and use dermoscopy to assess moles, sun spots and lesions of concern. If a lesion needs treatment or further investigation, we will explain your options clearly. They will also perform a risk assessment and give you guidance on the need for further checks and how to check your own skin for cancer.
Diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer
Our doctors assess and manage many common skin cancers and pre-cancerous skin changes, including:
basal cell carcinoma
squamous cell carcinoma
melanoma
actinic keratoses and sun damage
suspicious or changing lesions
Treatment may include monitoring, biopsy, excision/surgery, non-surgical treatment, referral, or a combination of approaches depending on the type, location and risk of the lesion.
We aim to provide careful, practical and personalised care, with a focus on safety, clear communication and appropriate follow-up.
Skin conditions
We also see patients for a range of medical skin concerns, including:
acne
rosacea
eczema and dermatitis
psoriasis
pigmentation concerns
rashes
sun damage
benign skin lesions
scarring and textural concerns
Some skin concerns are best managed medically, some may benefit from procedural treatment, and some need a combination plan. We will help you understand what is happening with your skin and what treatment options are appropriate.
A medical approach to skin
Skin concerns can affect comfort, confidence and quality of life. Our approach is to assess the skin carefully, make a diagnosis where possible, and create a plan that is medically appropriate and realistic for you.
Where cosmetic or laser treatments may be helpful, these can be discussed as part of a broader treatment plan. Where a condition needs prescription treatment, biopsy, surgery or specialist referral, we will guide you through that process.
