DR TRACEY PURNELL

Dr Tracey Purnell graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her specialist general practice training with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is currently completing her Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer Medicine. Tracey was awarded the Maureen Duke and Marion O’Sullivan award for achieving the highest grade in her Queensland general practice exams.
Never one to stop learning, Tracey has gained further training and experience in skin cancer medicine and cosmetic medicine. She established Central Wagga Medical and Skin Clinic in 2017. The quality service she provides is a product of many years spent listening to what patients want from a practice and learning from some of Australia's most innovative general practices. Tracey is passionate about excellence in health care. She is warm, friendly and relates to her patients on their level, often using humour to help them feel relaxed.
Tracey’s practice is currently focused on skin cancer and cosmetic (aesthetic medicine). She has extensive experience and training in both these field of skin medicine. She has a particular interest in regenerative cosmetic medicine and minimally invasive, non surgical treatment of aging skin. Tracey treats a variety of skin conditions with laser, in particular rosacea and spider veins. She likes to say she has a big box of tools at her disposal - being able to choose a number of therapies to address the specific concerns of her patients.
When not working Tracey can be found pottering around her garden or reading a good book with a cat on her lap.
DR RACHAEL FIKKERS

Dr Rachael Fikkers obtained her first degree from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Medical Science. After, she studied for a postgraduate medicine degree whilst her youngest child was commencing school.
Rachael has a keen interest in rural medicine and obtained a rural cadetship through the Rural Doctors Network. She was successful in gaining a position at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for her internship year.
Early on in Rachael’s career she knew she wanted to practice as a General Practitioner with advanced skills in Women’s Health as it is such a passion for her. She was accepted onto the GP Specialist Training pathway during her internship and completed the Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology concurrently with her GP Fellowship.
She was awarded the Registrar of The Year Award for her dedication to Indigenous Health and GP Registrar wellbeing and continues her passion for Women’s Health, Antenatal Care and Indigenous Health.
When Rachael is not working, you will find her surrounded by her family, enjoying a book, watching Netflix or out and about supporting the local food and wine industry. She also has a love for the outdoors so enjoys camping and traveling!
DR CASSIE STEEL
MBBS FRACGP
Dr Cassie graduated medicine from University of Queensland and realised soon after that she wanted to specialise in General Practice. She enjoys getting to know her patients and being able to personalise treatment to individuals.
Dr Steel has additional skills and training in Skin Cancer Medicine. She is passionate about providing this vital service to our rural communities. She hold an Advanced Certificate in Dermatoscopy and a Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery.
She lives in her new house in Wagga with her dog Heli and horse Milly and plans to settle down here in Wagga.
In Dr Cassie’s spare time she loves to spend time with her animals, family and usually that means going on many walks!
DR SYLVIA LIM
MBBS
Dr Sylvia Lim is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame Australia, Wagga Wagga Rural Clinical school. She is currently completing her specialist general practice training under the guidance of Dr Tracey Purnell. Sylvia is also an experienced physiotherapist with a keen interest in Musculoskeletal, and Sports medicine. She is currently completing her Masters of Traumatology; and also holds a Masters in International Law in addition to her health qualifications.
Sylvia loves living and working in Wagga Wagga, particularly due to the valued relationships she has developed here over nearly a decade. It is this sense of community that makes Sylvia look forward to a long fulfilling career in Wagga. Sylvia brings this commitment to Wagga to her clinical work.
When not at work, Sylvia can be found playing rugby for Wagga City, at the gym, pool or running up Beauty Point.
DR SOFIA DOMINGUEZ
MBBS FRACGP
Dr Sofia Dominguez is a GP Registrar (undertaking specialist training under the supervision and mentorship of Dr Tracey Purnell). She lives in Wagga Wagga with her husband and young son.
Prior to studying medicine, Sofia attended The University of Melbourne completing a Bachelor of Science majoring in Anatomy and Physiology. Sofia developed a special interest in rural and regional health while living on her husband’s farm in the Riverina and later returned to Wagga Wagga to complete her postgraduate medical degree at the University of Notre Dame. She was granted a Cadetship through the NSW Rural Doctors Network and was awarded the Joshua Scott Paul Memorial Award for Commitment to Rural Health. She then completed her internship and residency training at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.
Sofia grew up in Melbourne speaking fluent Spanish as a second language. Outside of her busy work life Sofia enjoys visiting local parks with her son and sampling the great food, wine and coffee around town. Sofia loves travelling, spending time with family and friends and cannot wait to revisit family in South America and Europe.
Sofia has pursued many interests within medicine including surgery and procedural skills, medical teaching, agricultural health and paediatrics, recently completing the Sydney Child Health Program. She believes her varied experience living and working within the Riverina helps her connect with patients and provide high quality, respectful health care to her whole community.
TRACEY WILLIS
Registered Nurse and Cosmetic injector
Tracey is a registered nurse, and has extensive knowledge of the cosmetic industry, having worked in the industry for the last 5 years. She has trained under world renowned plastic surgeons, refining techniques for injectables both anti wrinkle and fillers. Tracey is well loved by all of her clients for her gentle and caring nature, she has a great eye for balance, proportion and precision. Tracey also offers advice on other treatment options such as peels, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy and the Skin Pen skin needling device to help rejuvinate and address common skin care issues such as acne, scarring, ageing and other skin issues.
