+ How does a Plasma Device work?

Plasma devices are the next generation of skin tightening and collagen stimulating technology. Plasma is the fourth state of matter after solids, fluids and gas, and can be generated and applied in a very fine, thin discharge, allowing for precise treatment in this delicate area.

It is able to induce a significant amount of collagen production and skin tightening that has previously not been available non surgically.

+ What can I expect during and after my Plasma treatment?

Dr Purnell will use a combination of strong topical and injected local anesthetic. You will experience some heat but no pain. This heat is what creates the response desired in the skin leading to collagen induction/production.

Two treatments are often necessary, 6 week apart.

There will be some redness and swelling and crusting that develops after the treatment. Make up can be use to cover this, however you should expect that there will be some noticeable changes for the first week after your treatment.
